For time-hopping ultra wideband (TH-UWB) systems, the power spectral density (PSD) of orthogonal pulse-based signals is examined in this article. Our thorough research demonstrates that the energy spectral density (ESD) of orthogonal pulses as well as the time dithering code and modulation techniques affect the PSD of these signals. Varying ESD is produced by different order orthogonal pulses, changing the shape of the continuous spectral component with symbols. We demonstrate that the dynamic range of amplitude of discrete spectral components is decreased by orthogonal pulse-based signals. Additionally, by using longer TH code over orthogonal pulse-based signals, we minimise the dynamic range. As a result, the performance of the UWB system increases with average transmitted power. A thorough theoretical analysis of the PSD of a TH-UWB signal based on orthogonal pulses is given, and it is supported by simulation findings.
