Telemedicine refers to the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to provide and support health care mainly for providing consultation and long time follow-up. It is also a way to provide medical procedures or examinations to remote locations. It has The Potential to improve both the quality and the access to health care services delivery while lowering costs. Understanding the potentiality of telemedicine, many developing countries are successfully implementing telemedicine to provide health care facility to remote area where health care facilities are inadequate. In this paper, we mention the reasons why Bangladesh should to move for telemedicine. According to Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) the number of Elderly people from 50 plus in Bangladesh 37% in total population and this is 61.2 Million. This number is more than some European countries like Luxemburg, Monaco, Iceland. Therefore, primarily this service will cover this number. It will also present the various aspects and on-going telemedicine activities in Bangladesh. Analysing this paper, we have found out some factors, which should be assessed carefully for successful implementation of telemedicine application. Finally it propose a prototype telemedicine network for Bangladesh that can improve health facilities through telemedicine by making a Connection among rural health facility providers, Individual and special hospitals at home and abroad.
