Abstract

The trapezoidal intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TIFNs) is very useful for expressing ill-known quantity. Although many measures of similarity between intuitionistic fuzzy sets have been proposed in the literature, those measures cannot deal with the similarity measures between TIFNs. In this paper, we introduced some similarity measures for TIFNs such as; Jaccard similarity measure, Dice similarity measure, and Cosine similarity measures and three similarity measures between TIFNs are applied to the MCDM for TIFNs. Then, an example is shown to verify the feasibility of the new method. Finally, the decision results of different similarity measures demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of the developed method in this paper.
