Abstract

The back-bone of world’s economy is agriculture and at present facing critical problems due to the excess use of commercial pesticides. The rapid degradation and low utilization of conventional pesticides has led severe pollution. Nano pesticides can provide better penetration through the plant and controls the different diseases. In this paper we reported the novel nanocarbendazim pesticide for plant disease control. Our study provides a novel Nano-carbendazim for plant disease control and its subsequent characterization of encapsulated complex using polyethylene glycol and poly propylene glycol as encapsulating agents. Nanoencapsulated particles were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The particle size distribution was appeared around 80 – 95 nms for both capping agents. The bio-assay of Nano carbendazim shows better results when compared to the normal commercial carbendazim.
